spacerbullet November 5 - "Grieving the Loss of the Perfect Child: For parents and guardians of children with special needs" will be held at Mental Health America from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. This free workshop will explore hidden feelings of grief at the loss of the "normal" or "perfect" childe, and end on a note of hope and healing. Contact Marlene Taylor at mtaylor@mhadc.com.

November 20 - The 11th Annual Dutchess County Children’s Services Council (CSC) Youth Conference will take place on Nov 20th from 8:30am-2:30pm at the Villa Borghese in Wappingers Falls, NY. The legacy of one Columbine teen, Rachel Scott, lives on at this year's event. The conference will center on bullying, violence, and aggression, and empower teens with the power of one to make a difference. The day-long event is free for youth and for adults who accompany them. This free event is an opportunity for men of all ages, cultures, and nationalities, who are raising children, to come together and share what they know about Raising Children and Teenagers.
