Overview
The purpose of the ICP Initiative is to provide assistance and oversight to the Children's Services Council in coordinating services between the CSC, the Dutchess County Department of Social Services, the Dutchess County Youth Bureau and other organizations. The following are the ICP's general mandates:

Raising public awareness on youth issues through the
results of need assessment activities.

Advocating for system coordination for services through
joint planning processes.

Overseeing ongoing needs assessment activities.

Supporting collaborative grant applications to fulfill service
gaps.

Current Projects
The following are a few of the ICP's most recent accomplishments and ongoing projects.

ICP completed Dutchess County's Child and Family
Services Plan covering the period from Jan. 1 to Dec.
31, 2007. This integrated plan, submitted to to New
York State, details outcomes and measures for success
for Child Protective Services, Family and Children's
Services, Adult Services (including adult protection) and
Youth Development. Community partners and staff from
each department monitor key trends and needs.

In 2007, the team will work on developing logic models
and outcomes, and will continue to report results to the
community.

Every three years, working with Dutchess County
government and the United Way of Dutchess County, the
ICP takes a “snapshot” of key indicators that relate to
the well-being of children and families. This report allows
us to view critical, youth-related issues such as family life,
security, health, and education.
